Who knew that shopping for bridal shoes could be so daunting? You don’t want the heel to be too high but the shorter the heel, the more it looks like something your grandma might wear. And just because the heel is smaller, doesn’t mean that the shoe is going to be more comfortable – so you’re out and about searching for the pastel-covered “high-but-not-so-high” heel that you might want to wear *after* the wedding, not just for one day. And if you dare find a bridal shoe (which may or may not mean more comfort in comparison), then the price will be jacked up by a hundred if not more. There is this designer line called Butter (implies that they feel as smooth as butter while not compromising on trendiness). While I believe that they are more comfortable due to the structure of the shoe, I don’t understand why this particular shoe can cost $150 in golden beige and $300 in white just because the white ones are from the bridal line? And I would’ve gotten the golden ones if only some store could carry them in my size and not a half smaller or bigger!!
But I probably shouldn’t complain. Most things are falling right into place and we are very much enjoying the process when doing it together :) Time flies by so fast that I didn’t even notice how a month went by. Most of the *big* things we have covered. And the small things will be smoothed away by having many detail-oriented consultations/appointments which only time can resolve.
And, of course, along the way I get these creative surges :) If I had more time, maybe I would even make the invitations myself but I might not last to make that happen.
