Mukluks!

About a month ago I ordered a pair of mukluks from Amazon’s newly launched fashion-destibuting website MyHabit (www.myhabit.com). I wondered at the time if I was ordering the right size because even though I wear a 9 usually, the size varies depending on the heel of the shoe and such. These were flat-heeled and so there was the possibility of them running too big. But I thought, “What the hell, better too big than too small, right?” But when they arrived, even though they were impossibly cute, they had a note saying that since these are real leather suade, they will stretch out over time. And I still had room to go in the toe! At first I thought I could fit it well with a nice woolen sock but that would mean they would look even wider from the side, so I had to bite the bullet and return them, albeit the shipping and the return process is made easy with Amazon and MyHabit.

If you’ve ever been to MyHabit, you’d know that they have “events” from various brands and designers that run for a limited amount of time and then they are over, and you never know if they will come back or not. But looks like I was meant to have my mukluks because Muks are on MyHabit again! And I got my snazzy pair of boots for an even *lower* price with the discount code MyHabit had sent me to use just for this week ;) Yay!

Cymbeline – 2012 line

The dress below speaks of a more romantic flare to it, which is always nice to see mixed in with the classic looks. A number of the Cymbeline dress in this line reproduce the Princess dress seen this summer at the Royal wedding. And although it was very tasteful indeed, there’s just something off about the idea that you’re trying to look like someone else (and look exactly the way that a billion people have already *seen* that someone else look like) on the day you’re supposed to look unique, angelic, and “totally you”. But to each, his own.

The look above is something that Cymbeline has done for a few of her lines already, so it didn’t make that dramatic of an entrance (for me).

Lots of curves, airy fabrics and flirting tones. I like the full bodied skirts a bit more but for those who lack curves in their figures, these are just the right selections to fit the body.
